Attached above is the Continuous Professional Learning Chart I contributed to during my Teacher Education program. Continuous Professional Learning and Development has always been vital to my practice. As an educator, I understand the value of continuous learning and professional reflection as a journey that supports best practices while responding to the various needs of students, families, and the community. The Continuous Professional Learning I have engaged in is diverse to learn best practices that support all students to achieve excellence in their education, and to contribute to environments that support holistic social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual learning. I have focused much of my Continuous Professional Learning experiences towards supporting equity in education to be able to minimize the barriers minoritized students face in the school system while promoting positive mental health.
My Continuous Professional Learning Chart reflects how I uphold the Ontario College of Teachers’ Standard of Practice: Continuous Professional Learning.
